The Canterbury College campus is located on 30.2 hectares of natural Australian bush land, grassed ovals and landscaped grounds at Waterford in Logan City, to the south of Brisbane and midway between that capital city and the Gold Coast. Sport At Canterbury
Canterbury College offers a rich and diverse extra-curricular Sports Program in which all students from Prep onwards are encouraged to participate. Young children from Prep to Year 3 can join in development pathway programs, and students from Year 4 onwards train for and play in interschool competition.
The College is a member of both The Associated Schools (TAS) and Junior The Associated Schools (JTAS) inter-school sporting competitions which stage a wide variety of team sports throughout each year. TAS caters for Years 7-12 and JTAS for Years 4-6. Students also participate in a range of other sports as well. Most inter-school sporting fixtures and carnivals are held on Saturdays.

Canterbury College's Senior School offers all students in Years 10 to 12 a well-rounded education with a very broad curriculum leading to diverse career pathways. The aims of the Senior School centre on the educational outcomes for each and every individual student. Senior students follow educational pathways and study subjects in their final years with a clear view to having good options available to them when they graduate, having strived to realise their full potential.
The pathways include the rigorous traditional academic one as well as vocational education and training which includes school-based apprenticeships and training. Students in Queensland who complete Year 12 are issued with a senior education profile by the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA) which can include many formal certificates and documents.
The unique Canterbury College Arts Academy immerses talented students in extension and enrichment experiences linked to pathways leading to careers in the Arts. Canterbury students gain experiences and skills both inside and outside the classroom, through camps, retreats, conferences and workshops and other on-campus activities and excursions that are either academically-focused or part of the rich pastoral care program.
Canterbury College Seniors graduate as well-rounded, proud and highly competent individuals who have discovered their strengths and are looking forward to their successful futures. By the end of Year 12 expert and highly dedicated teachers and other staff have worked with all students seeking to ensure that they are “happy with where they have been, happy with where they are now, and happy with where they have set themselves to go”.
Canterbury International students are accommodated with English-speaking homestay families who live in the surrounding suburbs of the school. Our homestay families make sure that each student experiences every facet of the Australian lifestyle through family meals, day trips and conversation. Students will gain an understanding of our culture and will be able to practise their English in a relaxed, supportive family atmosphere.
