Cairns College of Business is the vocational arm of the college. Our CRICOS accredited business courses focus on practical skills, and the content of the course and the assessments are based on real industry practice. Cairns College of Business offers business qualifications from Certificate IV designed for students to commence their careers in business related areas, to Diploma level designed for middle managements.
These qualifications provide opportunities to develop skills in areas of business such as administration or customer service than can be applied in many different industry sectors. They also provide a pathway for those wishing to continue on with their business studies into the higher education sector.

Our organisation not only offers Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses under the Cairns College of Business (CCB), but also English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) under the Cairns College of English (CCE).
The Cairns College of Business is made up of three floors, with a lift for convenient access. The reception area, where students can speak to our friendly staff about their questions and concerns, is located on the first floor. On the same floor is the chill-out room, where students can go to study or watch a DVD in comfortable and attractive surroundings. There is also a common room with refrigerators, microwaves, boiling water and large tables. Our computer room is used by classes during lessons and by students during breaks.

Certificate IV in Business
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.
Course Duration: The course is delivered over 20 weeks (includes 2 x 1 week holiday breaks and a 2-week period for completion of assessments/projects). Expected to complete an average of 20 hours per week.
Diploma of Leadership and Management
International students wishing to acquire the skills of management and provide leadership. Individuals who are managers or experience as managers with our without formal qualifications in management positions with responsibility for leadership across a range of organisational or enterprise contexts.
Course Duration: The course is delivered over 40 weeks (includes 3 week holiday break) Expect to complete an average of 20 hours per week. 670 nominal hours.
Advanced Diploma of Leadership & Management
International students wishing to acquire the skills of senior management and provide strategic leadership. Individuals who are managers or experience as managers with or without formal qualifications in senior management positions with responsibility for strategic leadership across a range of business enterprises and industry contexts.
Course Duration The course is delivered over 40 weeks (includes 3 week holiday break and a 2-week period for completion of assessments/projects). Expect to complete an average of 20 hours per week. 670 nominal hours.
Certificate III in Tourism
The Certificate III in Tourism comprises 15 units packaged as: 4 core units PLUS 11 elective units.
